I am looking at a 72 Seabreeze, it is 19' with a 74 135hp Johnson. It's last use was at a marina to move docks and boats. The owner says he replaced impeller and now it runs good at slow speeds but overheats and dies at full throttle. It will restart and run at slow speeds. He wants $750 to cover costs of added CMC PT-130 tilt/trim and Teleflex steering unit. The Colorado registation HIN/VIN # is 319596 but I can not trace as it is not 12 digit long. It is a fiberglass deep V hull. Anyone know what model this might be? I will be hauling it with a 98 Grand Cherokee so weight is a factor. If the motor does run is this a good buy with alittle work?

Re: what model, should I buy?

thats a loaded question.....

forget about the manufacturer as just about all boats are made the same way........

use search and look for "buying a boat"

find out what not to get.....read the above post....as the question is just about the same

cheers

you need to understand what that boat could cost you, not how much it costs.
750 for a boat thats that old and not running is a lot. you can easily spend more on it than you could recover on a resale.
running properly in fair to good shape your looking at a $1000 boat maybe?
any way to answer your question; no. i dont think, based on your info, it s a good deal for you

The T&T unit is $500 right there. Go for it. I've got a '73 Johnson 85. We dumped a pile of money into it the first year getting it back running again after sitting up for many years but it's been reliable for 4 seasons (and counting) since then.
