what to do with old driveshaft? hate to waste...

just replaced the driveshaft on my '75 evinrude 135hp, v4. the splines on the powerhead end of the driveshaft have over the years, become a beaten down although it still works. i replaced it because i was afraid the splines would eventually give. anyhoo, this driveshaft is otherwise perfectly good, and i hate to throw it away if it can be repaired and re-used.

any ideas as to what to do with it? not looking to make any money on it. i'll send it to a repair/reseller for the cost of shipping alone.
