what to do with this prop (see pic)

this is the only blade with damage on it not sure how only one got damage? should i get aluminum prop replaced or repaired? this is on a 1979 80hp merc which sits on a 1987 challenger 186 probass

Aw Hell! I've seen worse than that!
New aluminum prop (not Merc brand) will cost around 150; see what iboats sells. Repair will cost 45-90. A good repair shop will make it look like new. Its your boat and your money--you make the choice. Maybe decide to spring for big bucks and get a ss prop and use this one as emergency spare.

There's enough metal missing to throw it out of balance. Have it rebuilt. If you don't already have one, get a spare or a new one and use that as a spare. i usually advise different pitches. One for speed, one for towing.

Yes, rebuild it, once the prop shop gets done with it they will balance it and it will look as if it were new again.
