What was I thinking

Can someone help? I had to unhook the cranking battery in my 2007 1780 Carolina Skiff to check and charge it. My battery is in an akward place and is hard to see. Well The wires fell behind the battery and after I took it out I didn't know where three of the wires went. They are smaller wires one is pink one is white and one is black. I don't know which goes on the positive and which goes on the neg. The pink wire has some sort of a in line looking thing on it I don't think it is a fuse because you can't open it and the white wire has a square plastic block on it. The black wire is just stright. If anyone has a skiff or knows what and where they go on the battery I would appreciate the info.

Do the wires have a round end on them that goes over the battery terminal? If so are they different sizes? Batteries have two different size terminals. This might help figure them out.

I would bet that the pink and white are positive and the black is negaive.

If you have trouble following wires to the source I would go with the assumption that pink and white are pos, and black is neg. What you need to do is hook up those wires only, not the battery terminals. Then you can turn the key on, test lights and accesories. Is there an accesory fuse block at the dash? If so I would see what color wire feeds it. If the white or pink are fused then they are positive. Grounds aren't fused.

Yup, the block attached to the wire isn't a fuse but a noise suppressor, for the radio,white + ..black neg. follow the instructions posted above to re-hhok it up.
