buy a slightly larger house and sell my current one. pay off a few small debts, give my parents about 200k, and put the rest in cd's. a million doesn't let you retire the way i want to.

If it was just me left, cause I couldnt convince my wife to do this, I would build a Bolger Fast Motorsailer, invest the money, sell everything, and hit the ICW, and write books, make video of the experience, then see what happens from there. If I ever get to do this or something like it, I'll put SCO in the logo somewhere so yall will know it's me.

Pay off house and rennovate. $250K<br />Put away for sons college fund. $100K<br />Pay off other debts and support monther-in-law $75K<br />Buy new fishing boat $30K (Actually probably would spend a lot less)<br />Buy property next to friends cabin at Lake $200K<br />The rest would go to retirement fund. $300K<br /><br />I would still work and put most of that money towards retirement. <br /><br />Everyone from iBoats would be invited to come up fishing on a small crystal clear Wisconsin lake for starters. Then we could go to the other hundreds of lakes in the area. I would also spend 10K to 12K to take all my brothers-in-law (8 currently) and my Dad fishing in Canada. <br /><br />My regular charitable contributions would be increased out of my checks from work.

I'd get my immediate family members a little<br />financial help. And get back to the important<br />things in life, fishn and family time.

Well guys, if it was one million american dollars I would retire. If it was one million canadian dollars I would proberly fill up my van with gas and carry on with my job.

gee, a million smackaroos...<br />Well, first off, you gotta know me. I would take a few thousand for to fix up my bigger boat, and get it ready for dive charter service. I would stretch that few thousand as far as it would go, which would probably keep me set for the summer as long as the charter did just a little more then break even. The rest would go in the bank to get some interest. I suppose I would also fix up the other boat some, perhaps even look for a new truck if my rusty old dodge ever decides to give out... I would still work provided I found a job I kinda enjoy. Like I say, you gotta know me, Im CHEAP! my boat was free (needed alot of work) my truck was also free(same problem) thats the way I live and I like it like that.<br />Craig<br />So...who gets the $? / when can we expect payment?

I figure at least one honest reply is necessary to balance out the bs.<br /><br />My wife asked me what I would do if I won the lottery....I told her that I would file a divorce and find me a young chick that hated to dance but loved to cook. She finds humor in that since I hate to dance and love to eat. <br /><br />I would build a new 4 car garage and a 2 bedroom house with astroturf for grass on a waterway and then spend the rest of the money buying the things I want till its gone.
