What year again please!

Hey fella's,
I just got from a friend a 15 hp Merc that I am going to use as a kicker motor, I know it probably needs a water pump and I am looking for the year of this motor
Ser# 0G077803 I know its probably an early 90's model but thats about it.

Another question just came to mind, is it possible to do a link and sync on this motor similar to the way I do my 1150? plan on doing a carb cleaning, any experience with these carbs will help.

Any ideas on the carb on this motor, I know I will need to take it apart and give a good cleaning before I even try running it?
