what year/hp does this cowl belong to?

This one confuses me for some reason. The 1960 and 1961 would have had the flywheel mount recoil and open front face in cowl to adjust low speed needle. The 1960 decal is different. Wish I could see the front of the cowl.

I think a later 6hp powerhead/recoil/carb and a 1961 5.5hp cowl? curious now going to have to look into it.

lol Chis, the add caught my eye from the pic, cant believe someone " mounted " that cowl on what appears to be an early 80's 4.5 or 7.5 motor???

The engine itself is around a 1980 to an 1983 if it a 7.5 HP. Notice the CDI box on the port side of the block and the tilt lock is the twist type and it has the water pump tell tale. It looks like the cowl is just sitting on the engine because there is no way you could attach it so that it would stay on.

the motor looks to be an early 80's 7.5 or a bit later 6/8.. very odd that someone would even sit that cowl on it in a for sale ad.
