What year is my 3.9 merc?

I was recently given an old 3.9hp merc. Looks like its at least 25years old. I can't find a model #, but the serial number is 1663383. What year is this? Also, the standard merc fuel line fitting seems to be too big. What size fitting do I need and where can i get one? Thanks.
