1989, and you're missing a digit in that number, should have 6 digits, not 5.

Merc program called EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog), it includes a serial number look up. Your serial number comes back as model #1035412GD, that's a 1989 35ELPTO (Electric, Long shaft, Power Trim, Oil injected).
