What year is my Mercury 9.9?

Hello, i have a 9.9 Mercury with the gear change in the twist grip on the tiller. The serial number is 09590979, could any one find me the year, i have a list of numbers but can't find a match, and also if i could get any info on a location for a manual.

The reason you can't find that number is the second digit should be a letter not a number.

But this is the correct serial number, i have a large list and yes some do have letters but then some don't, anyone else please?
