Hi!

I own a Johnson Seahorse 80. Its Modelnumber is: GM 75C and the Motornumber is: J2580309. I can't find an equivalent. The motor seems to have been in either German or US Army use, being painted in camouflage green and mentioned by the previous owner. That's all he knew though.

Can anyone tell me what year it is and, more important what the gas /oil ratio should be?

Thanx!

Don´t know if this will help but ..
Military model numbers
Could not find your engine there , but if you could give more info about the engine someone might recognize it , picture ?

Johnson did make 80 hp in 1966/67 those were V4 engines , and then they made some in the years 1991>97 ( V4 Jet ? )

ThanX!

It's definetely not from the 90's. As a matter of fact it looks alot like your 90HP. That narrows it down. Any clue as of the oil/fuel ratio?

To Droll:

Hi, again! The tilt mechanism you built-in looks fantastic. You found the parts on eBay?!??! Is that a custom creation or a "Johnson" accessory?

Greetings to Norge!

If your engine are from 1964 or newer use 50:1 .

The tilt mechanism came of an 1967 80hp motor ,but I do not know if those part belong together :) had to make some adjustments on the tilt cylinder , but it was an option from Johnson on those old engines .

More info about the 1966 models here .
Old omc ,main site .
