Hi, Looked at a Yamaha foir my 13' Whaler today for only 200 bucks. The serial number is 560129 and it is a 40 hp. I can't find any site to find the year and any other info about it. Can anyone help. Also there is a crack where the engine meets the bracket to the boat going not through the lower unit but a bit above that on the shaft under the cowling. Is that shaft cover an expensive repair? Also the wiring harness has been cut straight through with a pair of bolt cutters so I would have no steering cables, or ignition wires or throttle box. Are these parts that expensive or does anyone have any?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi!
At the serial number plate it is possible to find a very sligthly visibel letter goes from "A" to "X" Its located in the black area of the plate below the serial number on either left or right side... Follow the link below to this Swedish site and clik on "modellguide" The letter is there, but hard to find...Good luck....
Erlend

http://www.marinshopen.se/
