I like the shrimp on the barby to start out with, the dippin sauce is awesome. The outback special with the garilc mashed is what I usally get. Oh yeah and one of those great big beers they sell.

Yeah, I dont know why... but the waits at OSH are HORRIBLE in Ohio.<br /><br />Personally, the Prime Rib is delish. My bro always eats Alice Springs Chicken (since he works there... you know its good).<br /><br />Another thing thats good is to ask for the Cheese Fries. Ask for them to be "LAYERED." Then they put cheese and bacon inside..> Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Prime rib or rib eye, if you don't like heavy spice tell em to lay off on the Rib Eye. I've had 40 steaks there over the years and oly one "tough" prime rib cut... sent it back and replaced within minutes with another.<br /><br />As for the wait, we have "call ahead" here in TX, It's not a reservation but they seat you much quicker if you give em a ring. While you wait at the bar, it's first come first serve at the tables in the bar.<br /><br />Love the bread, salad, and deserts as well. Cinnamin bolivian or something like that... really good.<br /><br />Enjoy

KaGee & EEboater,<br /><br />The Wait everyone experiences is on purpose. Outback designs their restaurants so that their seating is limited for 2 reasons:<br />1. A crowd outside typically indicates a great restaurant, whether it really is or not.<br />2. While you are waiting, you are more likely to order something to drink.<br />This gives them a "status" image, and a hefty bottom line from the alcohol sales. They found a niche, exploited it, and are making a mint.<br /><br />I dont mind the food, but if I have to wait more than 10 minutes, I wont go. I dont love it enough to spend my evening standing in line...sorry, there's too many other fun things to do with my wife <br /><br />Nav

I have been to OSH at least 15 times in at least 4 or 5 different locations. I have yet to expirience a wait different than any other restaurant......nor I have I been in an OSH that was designed to limit seating in that matter.

We like to eat early so we got to the restaurant at about 5:30. No wait at all and we started out with a bloomin' onion. Then I had that blue cheese chopped* salad. I really liked all the textures and tastes in that salad. I also ordered the rib eye with cheese fries. I wanted a draft beer but settled for iced tea. Even 1 beer will give me an awful headache because of my meds. The service was friendly and the food was good. I then had to stop at wally world and buy some "plop plop,fizz fizz, oh what a relief it is" The hour ride home sucked after eating that much.

Told ya about the anacid before going!<br /><br />Took my bride their also. Called ahead for the priority seating - only a 10 minute wait. Bloomin' Onion, Clam Chowder, Outback Special, med rare, with the roasted garlic mashed potatoes. And plenty of diet coke with lemon! Yum, stuffed to the gills. Thanks for the idea, OMC. Been about 6 months since I had been to OSH! Oh the power of suggestion!

I am starting to wonder if the Outback has something to do with Okker-land.<br />What is Alice Springs Chicken, or should i ask, what is a chicken doing in Alice. You sure its not an Emu.<br />Then there is the Ayres Rock strip.......... NOTHING!<br /><br />When the local OSH opened my wife and I went. I ordered my steak well done, my wife's medium. We went on and on with the waitress that if mine was pink it would go back. An excessive time later ours arrived, my wife's was bloody, running on the plate bloody, mine was just right, for my wife. We complained, the waitress was rude and took my steak back. I sent it back a second time and finally got it right. When we were finished I asked for the manager. I recounted the whole episode and was told "We can't give you any accommodation on the bill, but I can give you a card for a Bloomin Onion." I had not ordered a Bloomin Onion because I do not like cooked onions. I pointed this out to the manager, I also pointed out that his poor solution would require me to come back and be mistreated again. He repeated that there was nothing he (would) could do, but he could give me a card for a free Bloomin Onion. Apparently he didn't get it the first time I told him I wouldn't order one.<br /><br />So since they could not serve my wife's or my steak as ordered, and they would not satisfy my complaint about poor quality and even worse service, I will not return.<br /><br />My advice, demand your food be served exactly as you ordered it, and insist on a concession on your bill if it isn't.<br /><br />Better yet, eat at Red Lobster.

David, Sorry to hear of your bad time. We were first seated at one of those dinky tall bar side tables for 2. I ask our waitress if we could have a booth and she gave us one that was just cleared. Our new waitress was also very friendly and went beyond our expectations. It earned her a $10.80 tip on a $49.20 tab.<br /><br /> Also, politely asking will get you a whole lot better service then demanding.
