Prep is KEY .. Preglassing your stringers can be a Major benifit when using low cost materials ( Ply ).

It helps in the lam stage if you pre-glass your stringers/bulks/stifferners.

Hate to have them bubbles come back and bite you in the layup stage... .. .. ..

Prep is the most important part of your build !

If your gonna layup glass..make sure your subtrate can handle a suction cup .. if it does not do this then your NOT ready to layup. .. Period ..

I dunno about you guys..but its the best way possible to insure that you get good layups when installing stringers/bulks/trans etc with wood.

Prep .. again.. is KEY to good lams on the final lamination stage..

I dont mean put on 3 layers of glass to prefab your stringers .. just resin coat and then one mat then prep again (grind/scuff).

If you want to prep then lam all in one shot .. then you can do this In the Boat .. but I like my roll chair and prep all my wood before it gets Glassed into my project.

It may not save time..but it sure does give better results in the end.

Prep your Wood ! .. IMO ...
