Decided to reupholster my seats. After reading this site and practicing some, I think I can do it myself. I've got everything that I need except the mesh material on the bottom of the seat. I considered covering it with vinyl, but think that it may need the mesh to let the plywood breath. I've searched and can only find it called mesh. Went to Joann Fabrics tonight and they didn't have it. Does anybody know the actual name so I can search the web (or Iboats if it's sold here)? Thanks for all of your help.

I bought me some Nautolex underlining, supposed to do the same thing. I haven't installed yet, so can't comment on drainage effectiveness--but I've played with it and it is plenty tough, takes staples, stitching, HH-66 cement, and certainly looks like it'll work.

Much cheaper than Phifertex at under $5/yd in 54" width from www.a1foamandfabrics.com
