Located on my power trim system there is red block whatzitcalled to which the 12v red power cable is connected. I've looked through the manuals but could not locate a part # although I do see it in the diagram. I suspect this thingy is a 110A fuse - if so I know it is working but as I am unable to tighten the nut it needs replacing. I am troubleshooting the power trim system - starting with the physical layer. There is a clicking when selecting up/down so I suspect the solenoids - there is corrosion around there ... to the point where I am unable to tighten that red block whatchamacallit connection. I removed both solenoids and that block doohickey and plan to stop by West Marine to buy replacements, but would really like to know what that thingamajiggy is called on the chance they do not have one or know it's proper name.

Thanks folks.

Thank you Stony! Really appreciate this - and yes it is for the 06 3.0 ... one of these days I'll be able to get that boat wet again.

Talk about learning a lesson - working to be responsibleboatowner going forward.

You might try tapping the top edge of the pump motor with a small hammer Don't go smacking it too hard. If it works after that, it tells you your brushes are corroded up in the holders.
