Seat Swap

I currently have a sun lounge seat on the starboard side on my 1995 Sea Ray 195BR and want to swap it out for a single chair. Do i just need a pedestal and seat of my choice?

The issue will be fastening that pedestal to the floor in a manner that secures it well enough, where you trust it to stay secured when things get rough. It's generally not an "if" things get rough, but "when".

Point being, it's doubtful the existing floor is reinforced well enough where you can just screw a pedestal to the floor and expect it to hold. The floor must be reinforced underneath (or on top I suppose) with at least one additional layer of plywood.

boat is a 1995 Sea Ray 195BR.
there are a couple spots/seams where the carpet is peeling up and once plled back it looks as if there is a spray adhesive on the deck holding the carpet in.
Currently has carpet throughout from console to stern.
Just wondering if the carpet is removed can the fiberglass be scrubbed/cleaned or would it need a new gel coat to install snap in carpeting?

also once the carpet is pulled could i install a captains char on the starboard side instead of the back to back lounger seat?
maybe cut the ski locker to install some reinforcement for the seat pedestal?
