Whats wrong with this picture.

We went down to the city yesterday (2 hours away) to get some much needed things we just cant get here. We were in one of those large grocery
stores shopping when one of the staff members came up to us and asked if we would like to sign up for a new Master Card.

As i watched this guy go from one person to another in the produce section offering this card out like candy. Most people were signing up for the card. I started to think is this not the mane reason why the world is in the financial toilet. This instant credit thing has to stop or we will never get out of the hole.

PS I told the guy not interested as he tried to give me his sale pitch.

Heh... A few years back, I was shopping at Wally World and someone was going around offering 10% off of any purchase made that day if I'd sign up for their credit card.

Of course I signed up, took the discount and never once used the card.

Two years later, they cancelled my card for lack of use.

This was the same, a discount plus a bonus for signing up.
