Regarding the "chop alum plate to floor prior to installing..." My guess is that there may have been an aluminum plate used as the bottom of the ski locker. But that sounds like an expensive base, especially seeing as they didn't glass the entire floor, just coated with resin. Also, I don't know how well CSM would hold aluminum to fiberglass. So "ALUM" may not refer to aluminum at all.
Also, that document is not your exact model boat, right? So there may be differences.
