I am having a serious problem finding a source for purchasing a trailer... I have a 2004 Regal 2665 Commodore, and I need to get it out of the water and parked in my driveway... I can't seem to find anyone that can give me a detailed price list... I want to see what the prices for each option are. This way I can price the options I need vs. what I can afford. A simple saltwater trialer, possibly with electric brakes, and what ever options are neccesary.... I went to to the manufacutrers web site, like EZ loader, etc... but there local dealer won't respond to my request, other than a price with no options or no breakdown of the options... I need to get this trailer on its way to my house... Anyone have any ideas?

make a list of what you need and want. you boat Dry is 5351 LBS, then add accessories, fuel, and all gear. you need atleast a tandem axle , with brakes on both axles. bunk trailer, to fix a 30 foot boat. i would go for a load weight of atleast 8,000 lbs. you want it rigged and who is going to adjust to fit your boat. this has to be spelled out, in writing.

how are you going to load the boat the first time. rolling hoist, and lower it to trailer, so trailer can be adjusted, or are you going to use a ramp to load it.

i suggest with a boat that big the hoist is the way to go.

deliver this to the trailer dealers, for the quote, out the door pricing.

if they don't want to do, don't spend your money with them.

yes,... I already have all that figured out, but the dealers seem to want to give me price for a trailer as is... with no breakdown of the options or any way to order a new one with specific options... this is the problem...

I have my boat in moorage, so the marina will pick it up with a hoist and allow me to adjust the trailer as needed... I know how to do this and I am planning on an 8000 + # trailer with rollers... I want to have the electric brakes so I can have a brake controller unit to give better control over the road...

i personally do not like a roller trailer, especially if you are in salt water. get a long tongue trailer.

the reason is they don't want to commit, is so they can over charge you on the assessories. is there a regal dealer in you area.

Re: Where can I buy a trailer

I know assistance seems strange coming from Australia, but I have an engineer that will build trailers for me, but he is in San Diego. (I checked you on the map....bit far Nth)
So why don't you try a local engineering workshop.
Why don't you seek a 2nd hand one (if everything pans out, I will have one to sell in about 2mths....once again in San Diego).
Cheers
