Where are you? I've found that it's usually cheaper to buy it locally to elminate shipping, but that's not always available. For me, I just go to the local West Marine armed with an online competitor's price and try and negotiate a discount through "price matching". Sometimes the manager takes pity on me and gives in.

However, if it's for the deck and has a lot of non-skid area, then I'd use a cheaper paint such as the marine stuff available at Lowe's. I'd only use the 2 part for areas like the hull where I wanted a nice shine.

There are only two products that I know of that is in the True LP line.
1. Awlgrip ( not to be confused with Awlcraft2000 )
2. Sterling ( which is basically Awlgrip ).

I have personally seen Amazing results spraying both AG and Sterling. I have done some nonskid with griptex and Awlgrip roll on nonskid with durability results. ( No matter what paint system you go with..use the "griptex" anti-skid additives )

You cant Save money up front on the paint where these two are mentioned. But you save Paint and coverage/durability in these fine Marine paints.

There is Nothing better IMHO then AG or Sterling for nonskid ( aside from gelcoat which you might consider ).

Still.. there is something positive to be said about LP nonskid. You can roll it on with the correct hardener and have a lasting surface that is repairable.

Hope this helps some..
