I'm not sure if it even works with this motor or not, but what kind of flusher fits this motor? I cannot really figure out where its sucking in the water from...
When you say a flusher you mean a set of muffs? the water inlet is located on your lower unit and looks like little screen squares. I have the same motor on my 14' Valant
Yep, so I can operate without the barrel (or plastic trash can with an increasing number of patched holes), but I don't really see where it could attach. If I could find my camera I'd take pictures of the sides...
I took a set of muffs and had to trim about 1 1/2" off the top and bottom of the muffs so they would fit tight. If you look at your lower unit just behind the prop and you should see some small 1" openings on both sides the muffs go there.
Your engine MAY have the water inlet between the prop and exhaust snout. It is a perforated plate held to the lower unit by a screw above the prop and it covers a channel in the back of the exhaust snout--the idea was to use pressure from the prop to force water to the pump.
If you have this arrangement, you can NOT use muffs but must submerge the lower unit in a bucket.
