While trying to fix an ignition problem on my boat I realized that my warning buzzer no longer sounds when my key is turned on. It would always squeal 'till the oil pressure built up.
My boat has three oil pressure sensors according to the schematic. One is the pressure sender for the gauge on the dash and it works properly. Another is a normally open switch that connects to the fuel pump and that seems ok. These two are located right at my oil filter.
I can't find the third switch which is normally closed and connects to the buzzer via a tan/blu wire. I've even tried to look at the back of the engine using a mirror. I can't trace the wire because it disappears into a large bundle and I'm not comfortable taking all that apart.
I know the warning system is functioning properly because when I short out the tan/blu and blk wires that connect to the bottom of the lower unit reservoir the buzzer activates.
Thanks for any suggestions, Bob
