In terms of international security, the hand of cards that your president inherited from his predecessor was not one that I would envy.<br /><br />To back that up - look no further than 9/11 and the state of the CIA & other intelligence services in terms of their ability to effectively monitor the numerous terrorist entities that were at that time direct threats to the USA... <br /><br />That has all changed big time under GWB's rule. Nobody would argue against that.<br /><br />And Iraq - the suggestion that Iraq could continue to be ignored while it continued to make threats after 9/11 (& given the state of military intelligence on that country) is just a joke. <br /><br />Would you ignore someone who threatened to kill you claiming they had a gun pointed at you under their jacket? Could you be blamed for shooting them first and then finding out later there was no gun ? Nobody would argue against that point either - I would hope.<br /><br />Show me a better plan than what GWB has done (given the information available to him at the time) - because I have yet to hear of one.
