Hi Guys,
I had another thread regarding using a '68 piston in a rebore of a '62 'rude 40 hp lark. The machine shop measured it up and it should work.

Now I have another possible issue.

The good cylinder (tested 90 compression) is pristine so I decided to leave it plus did not want to buy another piston/ring set as well!! I would however sure like to replace the rings while Im there!

The original rings part number 378430 is not available anywhere on the planet. I'll sure bet someone has 'em in a box somewhere though!).

The 62 and 68 are pretty close on just about everything but the 68 part # is different (#380108).

Any chance I could use the 68 rings??

Any help greatly appreciated. I have not been able to find aftermarket.
