When I bought my boat the rear view mirror was not attached. I want to re-attach it but I'm not sure where it goes? I see no open screw holes anywhere? Any help appreicated.

Here is a pic of the dash area of my boat

Or if someone has a pic of a Bayliner capri cabview that shows where the mirror is located would be helpful as well.

I think you just need to backout that little rust screw and place the bracket over the window frame in the place you want it, and then tighten the little rust screw until it is snug.

Most I have had or seen mount either to the dash, the windshield frame, or the tower. Since you don't have a tower and the dash would be too low I vote the set screw on the windshield frame.

Here is the winner!!

That mirror can be attached permanently or just use the 2 screws ( should be 2 of them rusted ones) to secure the mirror without drilling for a more permanent mount. Your best bet is to get in the water to find the good spot, use the small screws to secure the mirror then do a little driving to see if you can still spot your skier. If you have no plans to do any water sport then dont worry about the mirror. Unlike in a car, it is not mandatory....

In some states it is illegal to pull a skier/tuber/boarder without a passenger to observe/watch and let the operator know when they are down/off and need retrieval. I personally would never have/use a mirror.

I would not tow a tube or skier without a spotter, but I also use a mirror, it lets me know how hard I am whipping my tubers etc. I would also clamp the mirror to the windshield as stated.

See if you can find a piece of 1/4" thick sheet plastic or simmilar to slip under the screws though so you don't scratch up your window frame.

My two cents worth; I just went down to the baoting store and bought one that attaches with a suction cup. It stays on all day, comes off when I don't want it there.
Also, I always use a spotter, just use the mirror to occasionally see what's going on without having to turn around. It's also good for just cruising, to keep an eye out for any idiots coming up your wake.

Depends what you want it for. If you want to be able to watch a skier I like mounting them on the passenger side of the windshield as close to the walk through as possible.
Ditto.

Here's how I have mine:D
