There are many different grades of clear plastic.My wife did the side curtains over in a boat we once owned and bought the plastic at Joanns fabrics here in NY for about 3.50 a yard.Very cheap and did a decent job.The problem with the cheap stuff is clarity.What you see through it will be distorted and the degree of distortion will depend on how thin and cheap you decide to go and the distance you are looking.We just had the side curtains and windshield extension done over with optically clear sheet plastic---verrrry expensive!!!!!Cost me almost a grand.You can buy good quality from boat US.I would call it middle of the line.I have an email address somewhere for someone in Florida that I was going to buy some from and I then decided to leave it to the Professionals.I will try to find it and post it for you.Charlie
