Where to find serial number?

Where can I locate the serial number on my Force 50HP? The tag located on the exterior is unreadable

my 85 hp force numbers are inside motor cover left front corner on motor..

I always look for serial numbers on the side of the serial box. Early morning is best, as that is when the serial is out. Maybe after you add milk??

The only place to get the serial #s after the tag's gone??
Is the motor still on the original boat?
If so, send them the hull# and they'll have that info.
To get the year, under the powerpack on the top cylinder is a casting stamp.
It will have the year it was made.
All the early 50's used the same parts,why do you need the #s?
