Re: Which flush adapter do you hook hose up to

I have a 2003 yamaha 130 txrb. I want to start flushin my engine with fresh water with hose to top adapter flush attachment. I don't know which one to hook it up to. Is it the hose attachment or the one that is not on the hose and is mounted and can't move?

no one with that motor is giving any info so I will chime in again,
Did someone add something to this motor?
as I have never heard of one coming with 2 different hose hook ups before

Thanks for responding, in the pics i have the green attatment is connected to the other black attatment. When I want to flush the system i have to unscrew the black adapter from the green adapter and hook up my hose to the black adapter like in the photo with where u see the blue hose. Also wanted to know if the engine should be up or down while flushing. Because my engine is in a slip at marina. Thanks

Sorry but I can not tell what all it all feeds from pics.

down would be my thoughts, but never had to deal with flushing motor while still in the water.
The lower will still be in salt water so all you will be doing is flushing power head with fresh water with out motor running

The pictures are fuzzy but I'm pretty sure that where you have the blue hose hooked up is correct.
When you are running the motor the fitting where you have the hose gets hooked up to the fitting on the engine.
You can flush the engine from that fitting with the engine off and either up or down.
If you leave it down and the lower unit is in the water you are just not rinsing the lower unit but the powerhead is still getting rinsed.
