which lower unit fit on a 1987 yamaha 30hp

will a lower unit from a 1988-2002 30 hp fit on a 1987 30 SH 3 cyl. The yamaha part catalog show a specific part number for 1987 year, an other for 1988-1994 and an other one for 1993-2002

I looked deeper in the yamaha parts diagram and this is what i found

1987-1994 30 hp outboards share the same part number for the drive shaft, shifter rod and mid housing even if the part number is different, I assume the lower unit from a 1988-1994 will fit on my outboard. I will let you know once I will have find and installed one
