Re: Which one's best?
1988 Bayliner, 5.0L OMC, King Cobra. Has OEM Michigan Wheel, 3 blade, 14.5", 19 pitch alum. prop. Want good hole shot and top end (who doesn't). I got around 45 mph at 4500 RPM with three on board in lite chop, I think I can do better.

Thinking of similar style prop but for some reason I think I'd like a bit more cupping. The current one has some dings and it will be a great spare. Brand? Alum vs. Stainless? Any suggestions.

I was told that SS is harder on the trany due to weight and if I hit something more likey to cause damage due to less give. Aside from the cost, is there such a thing as high performance Aluminum? I was certain to get the Vortex until I saw the Turning Point Hustler on Dan's Discount Props. The reason I called the MW the OEM prop is I bought the boat from the original owner and he said the dealer sold it to him with this prop and he bought it new. I've been told this is the best pitch and size from other Bayliner owners, I don't want to over think this but there are soo many variables.
