I saw an add on Craigslist over the weekend, for an 06 Chaparral at a much too low price. Not contact phone #'s, so I sent to the generic craigslist e-mail. Just today I got this response:
"Hello ,
My name is Ashley, and I'm emailing you about the Chaparral I have for sale. The boat is in perfect condition, with no need for any additional repairs. Flawless
condition, no dents and no mechanical problems. It has never been in salt water. It has 110 hours and it comes with trailer and all the extras included. It has a clear
title with no loans or liens on it. The price was reduced at 3,500$ as I need to sell the boat before the 27th of July when I will be leaving with my platoon back to
Afghanistan, so I don't want it getting old in my backyard.
If you have any other questions, or need more info, please feel free to ask.
Thank you,
Ashley"
The ad is no longer up. So what is this scam?
Thanks.
