Hey all,

Some of you may have read my other Posts, but for anyone reading this one, that hasn't read my other posts, I will give a little info..

I have a 2006 17' Lowe Fish & Ski Aluminum boat, with a 2006 Mercury 115HP EFI 4-Stroke.

The prop came with a 13x19 Quicksilver Aluminum prop. The motor was on the 2nd hole from the top. With 4 people and fishing gear, the boat would not plane.

Since then, I have tried a 13x18 Mercury Vengeance Stainless Steel Prop, and a 13x17 Mercury Black Max Aluminum Prop.

I also had the engine raised up to the center hole (3rd hole).

The best performance so far with a loaded boat and 4 people was with the 17p prop. I get about ~5500 RPM trimmed up, and about 43MPH.

Everyone tells me this motor needs to be tached at 6000 RPM to get the full 115HP out of the engine.

I am worried to go down another pitch in fear that I will begin to loose Top speed, which I do not want to do. I do not want to go below 40MPH.

I have read that alot of you suggest the Turbo prop's here, and When I was reading about them, it saw that all Turbo props are progressive pitch.

I assume by being progressive pitch that it will change the whole story..

So If I were to purchase a Turbo Prop, which model and pitch should I get?

Thanks!

-TheChad

why not raise it up another hole and see what it'll do?

Re: Which Turbo Prop for Me?

Because it blows out when trimmed all the way down, in a sharp turn.

With the boat being a Fish & Ski, We will be using the boat for both.. probably about 90% Fishing, 10% tubing..

-TheChad
