Re: which wire goes where on my starter??

Some starters have power in and a ground wire because they are mounted in rubber isolators. The power in lug will generally have some sort of isolator around it. This lug carries current into and thru the starter windings and exit thru the ground lug. The ground lug could look to be just a threaded hole in the side of the starter and not a lug at all. Usually ther is a connection at the top of the starter and one at the bottom. The length of the wires that you have usually dictate which connection to use. Clear as mud? Good luck. Study the wires and that may help. JH
