I have a 45hp Chy which has a sticker on the cover that gives the model-457H , serial-3277. There is a tag on the front of engine it has model-4575 and serial-1140 I beleave it to be a 1969. Is this correct?? <br /> Thanks
Here's what I found on Modelguide, Brownwater.<br /><br />Models 457HA to 457HH are 1970 to 1977<br /><br />Models 457H8 to 457H1 are 1978 to 1981<br /><br />You need one more character on your model number to nail, it down.<br /><br />Good luck.
JB That(457h) is all of the model# on the cover, which is just a sticker or decal which is hand writen in. The tag which is attahed via rivets on front of the engine just right of the choke solenoid should be the one to go by, would you agree. I thinking someone may have replaced the cover and not removed the incorrect model, serial ids on it. I have looked everywere and can not find any model numbers for a 1968-1969
brown<br /><br />your motor was one of the last produced in 1969 <br /><br />these are not available anymore but if any one can get their hands on the old master spec sheets from chrysler they are real handy .ihope this helps bret <br /><br />If you need further assistance please email me @ forcepower01@yahoo.com. thanks,Bret
Thanks JB & Force01 <br /> Any ideas were I can find hard to get parts. May have a local supply of the easy parts. Thinking of impeller replace and resealing lower unit this winter.
