Hello All,
I just acquired a 2009 Larson 180 SEI with 20 hours. It has a 3.0L and an SX-A drive.
Engine:
3.0L GLP-J
Model: 3869388
Serial: 4012248171
Drive:
SX-A
Model: 3883603
Serial: 4202236903 or 4202236003 (hard to read).
Transom Assembly:
Model: SX ALT 42
3883720
4151191237
The issue, I think, is a whirring/whining noise in forward gear only. It is especially noticeable at idle and up to about 1500 rpm. Trim angle does not seem to change it.
I am new to V-P drives so I don't know if this is normal.
I did check the drive gear lube, it is clean and full.
Ideas? Am I paranoid?
Thanks.
