A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee." The husband said, " You are in charge of the cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee." Wife replies, "No you should do it, and besides it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee." Husband replies, " I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and shows him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says . . . . . (Scroll Down )

Oh LadyFish, You may be looking for trouble with this post! You may have started some religous debate, hope your ready!! But in my house, I let the timer on my coffee machine brew my coffee. Our argument is, who is going to set the machine up the night before. Kenny

Truth is we do the same at our house...set a timer.

Whoever does the dishes, sets up the coffee and timer.

Well we both make the coffee here at Casa de Spencer. We have his and her coffee pots. She likes Kona and I can't function without a constant flow of Starbucks. Coffee brewers last about 3 months or so in my house - we even tried expensive ones thinking they would last longer - the didn't and the coffee didn't taste any better either.

I set it up and turn it on when I gret up in our house. Herself drinks one cup and I drink the rest of the pot. Never thought about who should do it. Just know if I want coffee I need to make it.

I make it, and I'm doggone glad to do it... She does quite enough around the house, what with the cleaning, laundry, kitchen work, paying the bills, keeping me in clean & pressed clothes and fed & happy! Except for when she's up at 3 a.m. Then she gets it all ready so all I need to do is pour & turn it on. What a lady!! I'm surely blessed!

We use the Bunn coffee maker, because you have coffee right now, and we do not want to wait for it. The wife puts a new filter and the measured amount of coffee in the unit before going to bed, and I get up at 5:30, pour the measured amount of water in, and turn it on, walk to the end of the driveway, get the paper out of the paper box, walk back to the house, and pour us each a cup of coffee (which is ready now) and the dear one joins me when she gets the bed made.

Hubby gets his own since I'm not a coffee drinker, but I've been known to do it, he just gets up earlier. RICKRICK1 -[Just know if I want coffee I need to make it.] I liked this comment.

Well, I have made the "joe" for a long time now. I get up at around 2am every morning and it's just another thing I do in getting ready for another day.

It's easy! Don't drink it anymore. Makes me sweat and drives my blood pressure over the top. But, I do make the "Cold Brew" iced tea every night.

Hebrews? so who gets the orange jews? hehehe The One Woman Kona Coast Kawfee Parade loves coffee, LOVES it, she has to keep her fluid intake to below a liter a day, and she will have coffee to the exclusion of ICE CREAM, to the exclusion of ANYTHING ... Naturally she makes it, wakes me in the morning with a cup in bed, as a good wench should ... Of course, that leads to me cooking us breakfast, lol, so she wins that one hands down,

and here is a tip for you javaheads .... if you have an Aldi nearby, try their coffee, its rich, comes in a big can and costs little (39 oz 3.29) she has been a Kava Kid since 1966, and she says it's better than Chock full o nuts or even the vaunted and much revered Dunkin Donuts kawfee (yes there is a Columbian Blend for youse slugs what needs cardiac paddles to get jump started in the morning, lol) hey, can always serve it to guests if ya dont like it!!!!

Ralph Spencer, we would have nothing but a Bunn. It has the water already hot in it, and when you pour in a pot of cold water it forces the hot through, and makes you a fresh pot without having to heat the water.

In my last company I rented a Flavia machine that instantly made one cup at a time. It was awesome! Instant hot, high quality coffee based on your tastes (there were like 12 brews). You just stick the package in, close the door and push the button. If I wasn't so darn cheap I'd go get one. Although every morning I'd stop at Starbucks first

In fact, that's where I was on 911 just after 9am when my cell rang. It was my Mother telling me what happened.... I will never forget it. You should have seen the look on people's face as they overheard the conversation.... I'll never forget it. I was third in line. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was a "perfect" day and I was thinking about getting my new boat out for a ride after midday

We share coffee duties here when we have it. My wife does drink it every day but she usually gets a mix of cappacino and regular coffee at the gas station. I like my peace coffee free trade light and dark roast. Some of the best coffee I have ever had, although I like Kona a lot also. We use a malita(Sp?) which we boil water in a tea kettle and pour into. Easy but not as convienient as a timed pot.

dam, i was all about to rib ralph for this deal with trying out special coffeemakers, then that last poignant post - wow thanx for the 1st post lakeman- makes me think of my folks- you'd think making coffee was as sacred as raising the flag at their house.

don't even try to change it when they come to visit. i sometimes think of getting a special table with electrical cord to put up somewhere when they come, might even wire up a floodlight or chandelier for their next anniv

i just make it when i get up early on the weekends, since i'm the onliest one to drink it, and that's not often. but for sure at work - i fixit most every eve at work - auto brew at 7am. i'm still curious to find out what's up with the med condition of our bud SBN - 2am?!!! dang man, eva heeerd of a 6pak o beer? it would stamp out that particular condition inna day er 2...

The one that makes the coffee around here is the same one that gets all the back/foot rubs. I make the coffee if she gets up early enough to go out fishing with me.
