I have a 96 starcraft 1810 and want to put a thru hull exhaust on. just want to make noise. did some searching and cant find anyone who sells the kit, anyone have any ideas?
Why would you want one??? They sound like a fart in a beer can! I love my 4.3, but I know I would hate it if it had though hull exhaust. Save everyone else on the water and abort your mission!!!
Don't do it ,My boat had it on it when i bought it sounds horrible on the water. Its no v-8 and yes i do agree a fart in beer can. Put it back to stock as soon as i got home.Just my 2 cents
Around here they are banned from a lot of lakes. Gives boaters a bad name to the non boating public who are trying to close up launches and access to some lakes.
Don't do it. But if you do, just buy thru hull fittings and flappers and some hose. You may need to get new elbows 90 instead of 180s. Then you get to cut holes in your transom. Can you feel good about doing that?
Most stock 4.3's make an obnoxious drone when heading away from a listener, even at half a mile away. Thru-hulls will only make it louder. There's no noticeable gain in power or performance.
