Well, it's suppose to be nice this weekend here in cinci. So I will have it out for one last run or two this weekend. Then I put it in the garage for an over haul. I plan to strip the gel coat off and repair some hull gauges. Then re-do the gel coat. I will redo some of the floor as well. I am also looking at placing a gas tank under the floor like someone else on here showed us.<br /><br />I have my winter project all cut out for me already!

I don't understand this! Everybody north and West of me is talking about 80 degree weather and fishing. Here we just had our third day of frost in the morning and the news weatherman said that we are running 10 degrees BELOW normal. <br /><br />And this weekend (and I don't have class this one because of the holiday) is supposed to be wet and dreary. <br /><br />I'm so mad I could spit.

I plan to keep my boat on a mooring just outside my house until the lake startes freezing over. THEN take it out... And as soon as the lake thaws? out, I will pop it back in.!

The Wellcraft is winterized and parked in a private steel building that will keep her protected from winter snowfall....did it last Saturday..and to think the forecast for the next 4 days is sunny and about 80*

I am wondering if any of you folks leave your boat out in the elements during the winter..Have new house that just isn't quite long enough for the SS Pooter(much to my wifes (dismay)right..<br /><br />I still am going to winterize and cover it..Cost to put in storage about 300 bucks which I could use to buy more Musky lures...This will be first time she has been exposed to reality...

Hey gonfishn,<br /><br />As long as you have your boat shrink wrapped, and it is sealed off to any unwanted critters, and you perform a complete winterization, everything should be just fine.<br /><br />I have a vent installed on my shrink wrapping, for obvious reasons, they are inexpensive at West Marine.<br /><br />Kenny

I cant remember having such a great summer and fall. The temp over the weekend was nearing 30cel<br />If this fine weather continues, I'll get to use<br />the boat likely into November.We got more sunshine<br />than Hawaii.

i scrub the heck out of the boat then winterize the motor. i take the batteries down in the basement and put a charger on them end of january for about 12 hours. the rest of the boat i put a few moth balls here and there to keep out the mice then i put the regular cover on pull it up beside the garage, jack up trailer and block wheels so they are off the ground. then take and cover the whole thing with another large nylon tarp. been doing this for the last 5 years and have never had any problems.

I'm ashamed to say mine was put to bed last weekend. After 3 30+ degree nights in a row last week, I got spooked. Of course the temperatures have been in the mid-to-upper 70s all week, with it in the upper 40s at night. Grrrr! I hate when that happens!!<br />But she's clean & waxed and the interior's vacuumed. Now I can work on the trailer on these nice warm weekends (in between football games!) and get it all ready for next season.<br />Of course, if the Spring and Summer weather was any indication, we'll probably have snow next week!

yeah hopefully it will be a great game.Well now i got mixed feelings here. i hate to see you put your boat away so soon. but we really need this game more than the chiefs. i just hope the pack realizes this and brings the A team. If they do it should be a fun game to watch. if not the chiefs will kill them!

Actually I'm just getting ready to start using my boat. Trolling for trout here in the winter is the best. And you don't have to worry about the recreational crowd. They are long gone. Yoou guys are more than welcome to come down and spend a weekend fishing with me anytime.

Saturday is suppose to be...<br /><br />Sunny, 70 - 75 degrees with light winds, here in NY. <br /><br />These forecasters better be right! <br /><br />But, I'll probably still have the boat yard haul her out at the begginning of next week. <br /><br />Kenny

i just installed new smart tabs on the bayliner so i will have to go out at least one more time this year! after i try them out i will winterize it and start working on the other boat i just got.<br />anyone wanna buy a boat?
