whos using a marine duel purpose battery for starting and any issues

who is running one of those lets say auto zone marine /rv deep cycle duel purpose batterys for starting and has any issues using them thank you in advance for any input.

I haven't used this type of battery yet just wanted to know if people using this type of battery are have any issues with engine charging system getting burned up my auto zone battery finally gave up after seven years now auto zone doesn't have a marine start battery any more just the duel purpose marine /rv type.

I've used nothing but dual purpose for nearly 50 years. Usually get 8-9 years out of one. Mostly Die Hards, but the last one I bought was from Auto Zone and I must say the performance has been exceptional.

^^^very similar experience. Current batteries are NAPA, and they have been good (couple of years, so far). Also have used DieHards most of the time, over the years.

I had a dual-purpose battery on a previous boat. Had it for 5 or 6 years before selling it, no issues at all.
