Why all the iboats cookies?

I have an older pc that I am using Linux on, with the Konqueror web browser.

It's an altogether different system from Windows, and I noticed that iboats is
using many, many cookies when I navigate around the forums like I usually do.

Some clicks actually state that 2 cookies are being sent from iboats, and others
state that 1 cookie is being sent. Every click seems to show a message stating
that a cookie is being sent.

So, I am not making any suggestions about what all the cookies might be for,
and will await an explanation. Why all the iboats cookies? Holiday time?

Thanks.

It's because of all the information. Login, Threads viewed, threads replied to, PM's etc. Plus the track were you go in the iboats website. How they keep track of what works and doesn't work.
