I agree. Motors can fail just because of time or hours, but the vast majority fail because of some failure by the owner; lack of winterizing, low or no oil etc. As many other people have mentioned also, "rebuild" means different things to different people, rarely are the engines really rebuilt, usually they are just fixed.

YUP, as many have said the engine usually dies from freezing up or seizing up far before the engines worn out.
