From an american thats funny, surely you must respect all cultures, I understand you must integrate but your own roots must be there and respected(I am scottish-italian) If all americans de-imm....sorry not going there ,I like you guys to much

Dave,<br />No worries, nobody is leaving, there actually breaking down the doors to get in. As bad as it must seem on the world press, It's not a bad place to be, I'm sure your home is the same but thats not the same everywhere.

DJ you are right,I did let my not so gentle feelings show.the french do not deserve my wrath,but I have some very serious bones to pick with the second group and I mostly like seeing them through my sights.This is where I stop being a liberal.

France is neither the same country nor the same culture that assisted the US revolutionaries (difference between revolutionaries and rebels: revolutionaries win). <br /><br />France was on a hate the English kick in the 18th century. Our war was simply an excuse to kill Englishmen. Now they hate us and the Germans. The Germans I can understand. Us, they hate out of jealousy and our close friendship with the UK.<br /><br />Just my own opinion, mind you, but I find the French even more arrogant about being French than we are about being American.

Throughout U.S. history different ethnic cultures were looked down upon by their predecessors....First it was the Irish, then Italians, eastern europeans, etc. Not necessarily in that order...All of these cultures learned to assimilate eventually, while keeping some of their ethnic identity.....France doesn't owe them a thing, if they don't like the way they are treated, they have the option to de-immigrate.....JK

Might be that their economy is in the tank. Might be that they are racist. Might be that they are a country of arrogant boobs. Who cares. As an American I would like to send them a couple of hundred tents to help with their crisis. Maybe even the ones they sent as their contribution to the Katrina aid effort. Thanks frogs.

Since we brought up the war of independance, a famous story occured when the French captured a british officer and were interrogating him. The beat him across the face and split his lip (modern day torture) and asked him why the british stand in a straight line, out in the open and wear red uniforms. <br /><br />The officer defiantly replied, "Thats so you can see the color of, and the courage in our eyes, and the blood of our fighting men is hidden in our red uniforms."<br /><br />Seeing the logic in this, the french, to this day, have their soldiers wear brown pants.<br /><br /><br />Thank you, thank you.
