I am not complaining but I am shocked that so few iboats board members have signed up for the iboats fishing tournament. Please give feedback so we can improve the tournament. Again, we are giving away $1,000 per week and $20,000 at the end of the summer.

Personally, my fishing time is limited to Saturdays. For the last 4 weeks mother nature has been against me from getting out in the lake. Gonna try tomorrow.

EDIT: Now that i look at all the fine print, too much trouble for me... sorry!

AMI tape, AMI Cabin, AMI? Whats AMI and what is their cause.
Go to this link, go to that link. Build a cabin, build a marina. Why, Whats the point.

Usually fish alone, hard to take the required "hero" landscape photo when you are alone.

Hard enough to find time to fish, don't have 3 hours to spend with all the requirements.

Also, too much prize money involved, as evidenced by the jury process and interviews required. Too much money brings out the cheaters.

I really liked the idea, but my schedule would not let me get on the water for about 4 weeks after the contest was announced. I did check it out, and thought it would be a lot of fun, but too difficult to follow all the photos and rules - what Roscoe said.

Thanks for the replies. I guess you win some and lose some. This info was really helpful in helping us to determine if we want to continue to sponsor fishing tournaments like this in the future. Have a fun and safe weekend everyone.

Re: Why aren't you participating yet in iboats' fishing tournament?

I am not against it, and it sounded like something worth while, 'cept for the fact that I am getting on the lake just about once a month, maybe less now that school has started, and we have gotten another boat (hopefully not, I hope it improves). Also, I am just coming out of my slump, so all I seem to be getting are dinks, and 1 pounders, with one 2 1/2 pounder (coming out of a lake that hasn't been stocked since the mid eighteen hundreds. And, has had quite a lot of fishing pressure by kids with cane poles (they are the ones that always catch the bigguns) so I was dang proud:D)
The reason I had asked in the fishing section, was to see if yall were doing it next year too, as I should get out more by then.
