Will carbs from '98 115 fit on '91 115

I was wondering if the carbs are the same for a yamaha 115 from 1991 and one from 1998. Thanks

The carbs will probably fit but you might have to rejet them. You can look in a manual to see if the same jets can be used.

Should bolt right up and be ready to go. Can't think of any reason to change them though.

I have been having a problem with my '91 115. The engine misses, kind of boggs down at idle and then picks right back up, then misses again. It doesn't miss consistently maybe every 10 seconds or so. I have rebuilt the carbs (nothing changed). I seem to have good spark on all cylinders( jumps a half an inch on a spark tester). Clean fuel and new filter.The compression is 125 on all four. The reason for switching the carburators was because I found a pair on ebay that I bought for 10.00. I figure so cheap its worth a try. I will post when they come in the mail and try it out. Any other ideas on what the problem maybe let me know. Thanks for the help.

did you sync the carbs correctly? including disconnecting the oil link rod? if you have rebuilt the carbs and are sure everything is ok it is quite possibly a throttle sync problem.<br />throttle sync screw and cam follower screw are left handed thread.
