I have a 2002 Lowe 22' tritoon with an Evenrude 115 Hp. If I add lifting strakes will it help my performance or do I not have enough HP? If you think it a good idea do I need to be careful on the length of the strakes?

Thank you for any advise.

If Lowe offered them get em from Lowe and they will supply measurements for mounting, if you are just putting them on be careful, alittle too short or too long and they won't work like you want them too.

I work for Bennington and when trying chines on a new boat we always go too long and cut them down, hydrodynamics are funny, things you think for sure will work don't and things you don't give a chance work better than you imagined.

Ours normally are full length on the outside and about 75% of that of the inside, get a good welder to do the work and poull the plugs before you strt welding so air doesn't build up in the tube.

It won't blow up up or anything but it does blow out the weld and makes a real mess.
