Will MPC 4000 gen2 control fit alpha gen 1.

I have a 1989 mercruiser v6 with a alpha one gen1 leg. 2 barrel carb.
I am thinking of upgrading my controller to a MPC 4000 gen 2 part no 883710 A03.

Will this fit with my existing cables. And is the push pull correct.

No, You will also need to purchase gen 2 cables as well.

Take note of the location of where the cables are hooked up to on your old shifter if possible. The new shifter should work the same.
