Will my motor still crank with a bad coil?

I had my 75' Chrysler 55 hp in the shop and was told it needed points and possibly a coil. I was also told I had 12volts going to coils which I knew was my mess up on the ignition switch. So I got a wiring diagram and corrected the wiring problem. Now the motor starts right up turns over 2 maybe 3 times and starts right up. So my question is would it crank right up with only one good coil? I did order a new set of points.

it will start and run with a dead cylinder. it just wont have any power or run very well.
