will this tilt and trim fit my motor???

I have a 1977 70 hp johnson model 70el77s. The tilt and trim is from a 1988 johnson 90 hp. Will this fit my motor? if not is there anything that I can purchase to make it fit?

Your transom mount brackets (bkts that attach eng to boat) would need to have, on the lower portion of each side, three (3) mounting holes to retain that PTT assembly.

If those (total) six holes aren't there, it won't fit.

Don't know what your budget is but look into a CMC tilt trim, in the long run you may save yourself money.

They bolt on in under an hour and work right out of the box, I have had one for 5-6 years and never had any problems with it.
