My computer is an AMD 1.8 / 512 ram / 3 drives (20 gig for operating system and an 80/100 for storage) I've got so much crap... I have XP and quite like it although I think it runs a little slower than my ME did. It has a bunch of neat features for scanning and digital camera downloads and I like the look of the windows.

I'm running a tripple boot system with Linux From Scratch 4.0, RedHat Linux 9.0, and Windows 98SE. LFS was free, RedHat was $40, and if I remember correctly Win98SE was $190. I Haven't run Win98SE in over two years but I keep it around in case I need it someday. Win98SE is nice, but it doesn't offer the kind of "under the hood" experience you can get with Linux.

my laptop specs out like sloopy's ... its a VPR 185A, huge screen, and I got a totally awesome Microsoft wireless key board and mouse that is black and magnesium, just like the laptop ... the kids at college are SO insanely jealous of this thing, lol, especially when I show them the black and magnesium Koss headphones I found at best buy for 25 bucks, this thing sounds like a concert hall on those headphones ...<br />I have the Airwolf start up sequence on here, and I play it now and then just to get charged up, sounds silly but I had a few of the kids watch/listen to it, they thought it was cool too, eh, for an old man Ive got cool toys!<br /><br />some of you remember Airwolf, right? the in the lair shot?<br /><br />
